The Halloween season begins from the mid of October every year and continues mostly till the first week of November. The major day for celebrating the Halloween is on the 31st day of October. Various Halloween fun and games are organized in different parts of the countries worldwide.
In the European and American countries, you will find Jack-O Lanterns been hanging from the trees and other places in streets and houses. Children and kids wear scary costumes and masks and go out to the neighbourhoods asking for “Trick or Treat”. They normally receive mouth-watering candies and cookies from adults and seniors residing in the neighbourhood.
Halloween fun ideas include organizing special shows at “house of horrors” found in different theme parks and entertainment plazas. Other Halloween fun ideas involve organizing parties at different pubs and bars or even at functional halls where the members attending should have to wear costumes suitable to the theme of the Halloween. Other Halloween fun and games include finding the proper way to the exit in specially decorated graveyards. This is a popular Halloween game organized in different countries.
You will see several streets where bonfires are lighted. These arrangements of bonfires are held because people have the ancient belief that spirits come back to the earth on this specific day and so lighting bonfires may help to scare them off from the humans. Other than the bonfires, crackers are also burnt at different places worldwide to celebrate Halloween fun.
People also tend to visit the graves of their beloved ancestors and relative who have passed away. The graveyards are beautifully decorated with lights, Jack-O-Lanterns, and flowers during this Halloween season.
To enhance the Halloween fun, families make cakes and cookies in their home and share and eat it along with other of their family members. According to various cultures, families leave behind a part of their home-made cakes and cookies for the spirits of their ancestors and beloved who have passed away. They believe that on this 31st day of October during the Halloween night, their beloved spirits come back to visit the houses and that is the reason for leaving a part of the food for them to show respect and pay tribute.
However, Halloween is not a sad event. It is fun filled happy event that is enjoyed by all ages of human beings.
