Celebrate Christmas with Your Loved One’s
Cold weather, beautifully decorated houses, family get-togethers and lots of gifts is how we all know Christmas. The festival is celebrated because the son of the all mighty i.e. Jesus Christ was born on this day. Did you know the Christmas is actually the combination of two different words that are ‘Christ’s Mass’? Another very important fact about Christmas is that the date 25th December was fixed by a Christian church in 440 AD. But for common people world over Christmas has become the best time of the year to spend some quality time together.
The occasion is so special for everyone that even people who are living away from their family try and return back home in order to celebrate the special occasion with their loved ones. People all over the world celebrate Christmas in their own style as some like to send greeting cards while other like to have parties. The rush for buying gifts and greeting cards start in the beginning of the last month of the year. The entire month is amongst the busiest time for shopaholics.
At the time of Christmas you would generally notice shopping malls being stacked with gifts and various other products. People flock in huge numbers to markets each in order to buy stuff for their family and friends. Another very important thing without which Christmas is incomplete is delicious food. Family, friends, gifts and food are the best words to describe Christmas. One of the most common and famous Christmas delicacies is the turkey. The tradition of eating a turkey on Christmas was initiated by Henry VI. He was actually the first man to eat a turkey on Christmas. But ever since eating turkey has become a tradition. Some other delicacies which are quite famous include brussell sprouts, cranberry sauce and roast potatoes.
For centuries the tradition is going on as it was but there has been a slight change because of the advent of technology. The perfect example is that earlier markets used to the hot spots for buying gifts and other stuff but now online stores are becoming increasingly popular because the younger generation doesn’t have enough time to visit the market search for gifs in different stores. An online store is the easiest way to shop as you just have to jump on to your computer and start surfing the web. The ways of shopping may have changed but the importance of the festival remains the same.
