I guess it would be better to highlight here that any seasonal fresh item could be used. Also whatever you choose to add just check the following:

  • The ingredients should not overdo the rich creamy feel of the rice. After all it’s a rice preparation. Anything else used is a flavouring ingredient.
  • The ingredients and spices used should compliment each other rather than cutting off the other.
