Christmas day is an annual holiday nationwide that is celebrated on the 25th December that marks the birth of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. Today people celebrate this day through out the planet with giving gifts, cards, decorating their houses with Christmas trees, lights, holly and wreaths. Santa Claus is a figure that is associated with this holiday. He is said to bring gifts for the children from North Pole. Christmas is a secular occasion. This is the most popular event for the children who engage in making gifts, cards and decorating their houses in anticipation of Christmas season several months ahead of time. The materials required are ice-cream cones, cool whip cream colored with green, various kinds of colored candies and paper plates. Distribute the plates and the cones. Invert the cones and place them over the plates. Then using your other hand ice the cone with the cool whip that has been colored green. Then sprinkle candies, popcorn and other decorations over the cone. Make the icing before hand by adding a few drops of food color in the whipped cream. And there you have a Christmas tree.

Another fun Christmas art lesson plan for a tree project is the wishing tree hand project. Here students need to work in pairs. Each of the students is given a paper where they need to place their hands. Your partner needs to then outline your hands in the paper provided. Then carefully cut out the hands. This helps in developing the motor skills of the children too. Then ask the students to write a wish. It could be meant for them, any friends or even the family members. You can use paints and colorful glitters for this project. Now the teachers need to collect all the hands and arrange it on a on a large card in a shape of a Christmas tree.
