  • Those interested in ecology can explore the various rainforests, such as the ones in Tamale and Kakum. Tamale is famous for its Mole National Park with the spread out Savannah, wild buffalos, antelopes and many more creatures of the wild. The National Park at Kakum boasts of a canopy of rainforests and rare variety of monkeys and antelopes
  • The coastal town of Elmina has a slave fort that is worth a visit. Please note that the visit might be disturbing for some
  • It is interesting to go to the village of Nzulezo to see huts built on stilts.
  • Crocodiles can be sacred would be a new concept for most visitors but not for the people of Ghana. In the small town of Paga these crocodiles are not only sacred but tamed and they reside in man-made pools
  • Traditional and cultural festivals with a spread of colour add to the experience of the tourists who come for a real taste of African culture.

Christmas in Ghana

With 66 different languages spoken in Ghana it is not surprising that an equal number of different traditions are followed during Christmas. However, no Christmas feast is complete without the traditional Okra soup, a meat and rice casserole and fufu (Yam paste). Other than this the usual practise of door to door carol sing is also carried out with a jest that helps spread the Christmas spirit.

Various Christmas vacation packages for Ghana are available and you can choose the one that best fits your pocket.
