The Czech Easter tradition is about a full-fledge of celebrations on the auspicious day. The Czech Republicans are more acquainted with the word ‘Velikonoce’, which means Easter. Whipping Monday is observed by all Czechs who consider the Easter Monday by the name of most popular ‘Whipping Monday’. As the belief follows, the power of whipping is granted to boys who can whip the girls on the legs with the soft willow twigs to help them gain glowing youth and better health. But the boy has to recite a carol while conducting the act.

The Czechs get their entire preparations ready on Easter Sunday for the most welcoming Easter Monday.
