In my letter to Santa Claus

Every year ‘stepping stones club’ organizes a Fete to celebrate the homecoming of the festive season ahead. This club is situated right next to St. Clark’s Church and is the biggest one around. Participating and winning an event here is definitely bull’s eye.

I had been looking forward to last year’s Fete for sometime as I was told that I would be eligible to participate in all the events then. Yes I turned eight last summer and so had qualified to take part in most of the games and competitions held at the carnival.

Of all the competitions arranged the one that I enjoyed the most was the   ‘letter to Santa Claus’. There were around thirty participants and varied between age seven to eleven.

I participated in five events and did win a place in two of them. I won a third prize in ‘letter to Santa Claus’ and a second prize in ‘tail the donkey’. I was overjoyed and came home running to tell Jumbo about this big feat of mine. Thanks to Jumbo, that I made it to third place this year. Next time I would practice even more and sure make it to the first place.

Writing letters to Santa Claus began when I was five years old and with my grandfather; whom I address as Jumbo. He is himself into writing a lot of stories and poems and I am sure he’s got personal contacts with Santa. Otherwise how would he know how to write a personalized letter?

He’s the best Jumbo in this world and helps me every year improvise my letter and I know Santa gets impressed as Santa Claus letters to children reaches on time along with the surprise gifts if only they are good all the year round and write nice letters to him every year! Well my gifts do arrive on time and that is my happiest moment.

In my letter to Santa Claus this year I have decided to include the following. After all it’s a personalized letter and should find Santa in good health!

  • I will address Santa as, ‘My dear most and loving Santa’
  • Then I will tell him about my school grades and that I’ve been appreciated for being good almost throughout the year.
  • After that I will state the events that I participated in the Fete and the two events that I won.
  • Further, I will give him a short list of the toys that I have collected over the years and as instructed by Mamma, taken good care of them.
  • Then I guess its okay to politely ask him for two of the toys that I can’t live without.
  • Finally I’ll thank him for giving me the best parents, Jumbo and my doggy Ludo. Also I’ll invite him for Christmas this year as Mamma has promised to help me make chocolate cookies…Santa has to taste it!!

If you have any problems writing letters to Santa Claus; please feel free to call or mail me. I would take you to Jumbo and he would definitely solve your problem! Till next time…merry Christmas!
