It’s My Princess Cake!

In our initial years of growing up a number of things happen that may be very trivial in nature but do form a pile of fond memories that we carry along all our lives. A princess cake is definitely one such memory that draws a long stretch of smile on our face every time we remember cutting the cake. A wave of infinite mirth runs through our soul each time we come across a fairy or princess cake ahead in time!

The look, feel, taste and everything about a princess cake is so glamorous and stylish that the simple idea pampers us to another level. It is indeed one of the best things experienced in childhood; or while celebrating any good fun moment later in life.

The very idea of a cake in the form of a princess makes the event oh-so-cool! When it comes to different designs, I can bet you wouldn’t find it easy to choose one from the gallery. (I just want all of them!)

There have been many improvisations on this idea in the past few decades. The look and gamut of the concept of princess has been through numerous changes and bakers have equally been congruent with this aspect in the cake shops. The best part of a Barbie cake while baking is decorating or styling up Barbie’s hair, and while eating – it is undoubtedly like magic to poke in a knife through the long flares of the pink gown and chalk out a huge piece of melting cream and chocolate with layers of soft sponge in between. If you have ventured out to make princess cakes make sure you know how to deal with two coloured strip bags, and are good with long silky hair. Yes, the hair would be in some other form here; but styling it up remains as real as possible.

A cake dummy, cake stand and other fillers would be essential in designing this cake. It is always a good idea to surf through few comics that are kept in the loft. Revising through old books that have the picture of our first impression of a princess would surely strengthen our memory and help in making the cake.

Lastly, as a child for our birthday we all did secretly wish for a princess cake. Thanks to Mamma and Papa who somehow always understood and made sure that we have princess cake on our birthday!

Kids today may have access to ten different things to have loads of fun during childhood, but am sure you would agree that nothing on earth can bring that million dollar smile on a kids face as a princess cake would!
