How to host an Office Christmas party

Office Christmas party is always considered to be uninteresting by most of the people. Generally other parties and functions are preferred over company Christmas party. One of the reason to avoid the party is these parties are generally held in office. The first and foremost thing to do when planning an Office Christmas party is to hold it in a club or restaurant.

It’s the most busy time of the year with people having many important things to do on their list. If you want the staff to enjoy company party then you should consider certain points while planning it.

1. Plan to organize the Office Christmas party in a club or some restaurant, this way people will get to move out from the same place and the monotony to be in the same place is broken. Make it an event which people want to attend.

2. Arrange some games or programs for the staffs, so that they actively participate and have fun during the office party. Try to make the party as an event, rather then simple get-together. This will break the age-old tradition of sit-around-somewhere-and-eat party. You can arrange for bowling, skating etc and make the party enjoyable.

3. Turn it into a family affair. Invite family members of the staff, this way more staff will attend the party and people will consume less alcohol with their family members around.

4. Music, this is the most important part when hosting any party. People love to dance in parties, and with some great music you can convert the party into the most enjoyable and memorable moment for the staffs.

5. Change some regular theme this Christmas and dealcoholize your party. There is no rule to serve alcohol for the Office Christmas party. You can dealcoholize the party but let the invitees know in advance and also assure them that there is plenty of other drinks which they can equally enjoy.

6. Don’t forget to end the party with beautiful gifts for your staffs. You can imprint company logo on them so that it becomes memorabilia for the staffs.

7. And finally take as many pictures as possible for the beautiful memories to share later.

Parties are to enjoy and have fun, so make sure you have time of your life and collect all the beautiful memories in the form of pictures from the party. Don’t take it as corporate affair, this is the only time of the year when you’ll get time to know your colleagues and staffs better.
