Pictures and Designs for Birthday Cakes

Birthday cake

A birthday cake is like new painting. Every piece is fresh and is of a different persona. It can have a new look never imagined before and can taste like a new berry from heaven!

Especially if it’s a cake that we are planning to bake for someone close to us…it is a moment to remember. We seem to be bombarded with ideas and our mental racks tend to brim with creative nooks in a superlative degree. Birthday celebrations are just not complete without a cake…and a chocolate flavoured one for 99 times out of hundred!

Birthday cake pictures are a visual delight. They seem to knead through all the confusing alleys of our mind finally somehow managing to make us smile, and a longer one most of the times.

If ever you feel low, are in the midst of a number of serious perplex issues, have no answer to most questions, no relevant solution to most problems, or something even worse…visit a cake shop, or hit a cake picture gallery. If nothing you will at least save few moments of decent peace for yourself…and if not guarantee I could at least bet you would be tempted to taste most of them! Try it!

Birthday cake designs

I had been to an exhibition that was held to bring to the world’s notice the most extravagant, uncommon and kind of impossible designs of cakes. Yes I could neither taste nor carry those pictures along with me, but I can share a few outstanding ideas. Here, check them out:

Cake in the form of:

  • A sports shoe with nice laces
  • A mini laptop kept open featuring the monitor and the keypad
  • Strips of aspirin
  • A pumpkin with three cute blue coloured mice peeing out of the holes
  • The face of a tiger
  • A castle with clouds in the background
  • A treasure box filled with pieces gold, silver, diamonds and all other possible jewels
  • A bookshelf filled with the fifty best books for kids
  • Two skeletons inside a ring (clue: this is a good idea for two people sharing a birthday who happen to be totally opposite in their respective natures!)
  • A bride and a groom in their traditional dress

Let me know if you can manage making any one of the above. I though tried the face of a tiger, but ended up looking like a yellow zebra…we anyway had a good time eating the cake!

Are you grumbling that these designs are ‘not possible’ to make at home? Okay, I’ll give you a few more ideas:

  • A cake that looks like a fruit platter. The clue here is to look for the right colour for the respective fruit
  • An exercise book kept one with the face of a cute baby girl on one side and a nursery rhyme written on the other
  • A cake that resembles a strawberry or pineapple
  • A nice pair of white or red ballerina shoes
  • All time favourite ‘Barbie’

Well, we’ve got quite a list; now let’s get on to work!
