Cupcakes are the best example of the famous one-liner, ‘good things come in small packages’. The look of these small but striking bits is purely irresistible. In fact whenever Papa is angry or you just can’t convince him to let you party till late on weekend…cupcakes are sure to come to your rescue!

Cupcakes make a special ingress on occasions like picnic, day out, mid night party and so on. They are like pills that explode crystals of chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch and the hundred other kinds of flavour; and thereby sprinkle tinkles of fun, energy and a new vibe altogether in the celebration.

Making cupcakes is nothing different as such from that of baking a cake. Yes the ingredients will be different in terms of the quantity that would be required. Also one small disparity is in the way you beat the eggs and mix it with the rest of the mixture.

Cupcakes don’t offer much of surface to try frosting in too flamboyant a way. But yes, this in turn gives you a big opportunity to include a number of flavouring ingredients. So once you have a bite, you get to feel all those wow things plying hide and seek inside your mouth before you finally swallow it down!

Cupcakes decoration

For decorating a cake one has to be innovative but in a tiny way. Confused? I’ll make it simpler. You need to work out designs that can be spread over a small area. For example the different facial expressions of smiley, Tweety, the endearing faces of Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy,  Pluto, Garfield and so on.

You could also choose an array of flowers to decorate the cupcakes. It could either be different flowers or a bunch of the same kind. Another example would be to try doing various haphazard zigzag designs. Whatever works or suits the mood!

Birthday cupcakes

One of the best ways to decorate birthday cupcakes is to have the letters of the word ‘happy birthday’, one written on each cupcake. You could also choose to write the name of the birthday girl or boy…yes it best suits kids though!

Cupcake for a birthday party is a popular choice when the idea is to celebrate outdoors. Also it adds on to the list of food items and is quite tempting.

The picture galleries of cupcakes have two common expressions, “my jaws almost dropped”, and “I couldn’t blink”. Initially I found it wired as it could be good but sounded exaggerated. But I was surprised when I felt the same (and actually both the expressions together!!)

It is indeed possible to become a big man, earn a lot, have all the luxury and so on in life. But no matter who you are, where you are…cupcakes are to make you smile and you are to feel tempted!
