Telling Scary Stories Can Be Great Fun!
Halloween is supposed to mean different things to different people. While for some it means an outlet to bring out the stress within themselves, yet there are others who think this is the perfect time to engross in festivities. What starts as an occasion for fun, may also see people telling scary stories. You should know this practice to follow Halloween originated from the Celtic culture. During those days it was thought to be an event that was identified with get together of people who assembled to participate in a communal feast. The Christians celebrate the day on All Saints Day on November, 1 while the Samhain festival celebrated by Celtic people takes the date as October, 31. The latter was believed to be the end of ‘lighter’ half of the year and just the beginning of ‘darker’ half of the year.
Basically Halloween is all about having lot of fun and rejoices this special moment. The ambience of a haunting night should give you an opportunity to be a little scary and wicked. They are known to contain ghost stories, tales of weird happenings, graveyards and witches. On listening to these stories, the listeners can feel the scary face hounding them. But, be careful not to narrate such stories which can have a negative impact on the listeners, especially the kids. Best way to judge would be to think twice before you narrate the story.
