The Protein Rich Salad with Pickled Vegetable And Eggs
The pickled salad has always been a distinctive variety in salads. For the occasion of Halloween the Pickled Vegetable Salad with Soft-Boiled Eggs is very different choice than usual. This salad is filled with vitamins, protein and mineral. It has a rich collection of vegetables.
This simple recipe requires the basic ingredients like red beets, golden beets, turnips, radish, celery ribs and fennel bulbs. You need to take four red beets, golden beets, 4 turnips, eight radishes and two celery ribs. Take off the skin of all the veggies and slice each of them in slim peaces. You would also need other things like white balsamic vinegar (3 tbls), olive oil (3 tbls), and salt, pepper, and Fleur de sel. The extra ingredients like egg (four) and toasted baguette slices (four) are also needed.
The direction to make this salad starts with baking the vegetables. The vegetables should be baked separately, could be in different piles. Prepare the season with vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Pour the seasoning on the baked veggies and leave it for one hour. Now you need to soft boil the eggs. Take some water in a pan and bring to boil. Now put the eggs and low down the heat and cook for cook 6 min. Peel the eggs and keep it aside. Now you can place the veggies on the plate and top it with the eggs and toast. Also, sprinkle Fleur de sel on the salad.
This pickled salad of veggies and eggs goes very good with the wine combination. You can try white fruity bright wine Sauvignon Blanc Wines from New Zealand with this salad. You can also have Muscadet Wines from Loire, which is very light and fresh with this refreshing salad. Also, another great pair with this salad is Pinotage Wines from South Africa.
